SKF adquiriu a ABBA
Linear Tech Co., Ltd.,, liderando agora o mercado Asiático de guias
lineares, tendo sua base em Taiwan.
As
vendas da ABBA em 2006 atingiram um valor de 26,6 milhões de Euros, e o
número de funcionários é de aproximadamente 400. A matriz da ABBA está
localizada em Taipei, Taiwan e escritórios em Taiwan e China. Possui
escritórios de vendas em Taiwan, China e Estados Unidos e trabalha com
uma rede de distribuidores.
SKF está muito
satisfeita que SKF e ABBA tenham concretizado agora esta aquisição e
acreditam firmemente que esta é uma boa notícia para ambos, para nossos
clientes e para nós. Nosso foco agora estará em combinar as forças de
ABBA e de SKF.
Com a adição da
ABBA na escala de produtos, a SKF estará reforçando sua posição e será
uma empresa líder em guias lineares. A aquisição é estratégica na linha
do Grupo SKF para reforçar suas diferentes plataformas tecnológicas e
crescer na Ásia.
ABBA fará parte da
unidade de negócio SFK Actuation & Motion junto com a Divisão
Industrial e será incluída nos relatórios do Grupo para o terceiro
trimestre.

SKF has now acquired ABBA Linear Tech
Co., Ltd., a leading Asian manufacturer of linear guidings, based in
Taiwan.
ABBA’s
sales 2006
amounted to Euros 26,6 millions and the number of employees is
approximately 400. ABBA is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan and has
facilities in Taiwan and in China. It has sales offices in Taiwan,
China and US and works through a network of distributors.
SKF is very pleased that SKF and ABBA have now finalised this
acquisition and firmly believe that this is very good news for both our
customers and for us. Our focus now will be on combining the strengths
of ABBA and SKF.
With
the addition of
the ABBA's product range, SKF is reinforcing its position and will be a
leading company in linear guidings. The acquisition is in line with the
SKF Group's strategy to strengthen its different technology platforms
and to grow in Asia.
ABBA
will be part of
the SKF Actuation & Motion Control business unit within the
Industrial Division and will be included in the Group's reporting
during the third quarter.
